It was a dream come true. Myka here meant it wasn't really all in her head. Right? She wouldn't bring Myka, and part of the reason Claudia had just given up on trying to hack the train was because there was still a large part of her that suspected that it was in her own head. Whether it was the mental institution, or some Caretaker exam she had to pass, there was an entire world inside her head.
So seeing Myka filled her with a sense of hope that she hadn't felt in a long time; after figuring out Myka's location, Claudia raced down the halls to the room, skidding to a stop at the door. There was no other name on it. "Oh, no, Hell, this one's mine," Claud said, referring to the train. She'd heard of other people moving in with others, and Claudia just knew that if she waited until she talked to Myka, Myka would have a brand new name on the door, and Claudia would be stuck.
It was a very brief hesitation, though, and she fingered the door lightly, before turning away, and breaking into a full sprint. She ran back to her room, tossing all her stuff in a bedsheet and tying it shut, then ran back to Myka's room, throwing the door open and screaming in happiness when she saw Myka.
"Myka! You're alive!" she squealed, dropping her makeshift rucksack, contents spilling everywhere. She wrapped her friend in the tightest hug imaginable, feeling the happy tears run down her face.
