Characters: Jaz Parks & George Weasley
When: Friday morning
Location: Mini-Kitchen Car
Warnings/Rating: Low - possible language
Summary: Random meeting in the kitchen
Status: Closed/On-going
Since her strange room-mate had arrived Jaz had been spending increasing amounts of time camped out in the Touring Cars with Dean. It wasn't that she minded sharing a room, but the whole thing about him seeing her sleeping, whilst harmless in its own way, had kinda creeped her out. "Always listen to your instincts, Jazzy," came Granny May's voice. She was camped up on the back porch in her usual rocking chair knitting, and keeping a general eye on Jaz's well-being. Instincts were good, and Jaz saw no reason to argue, which was why she was prowling the mini-kitchen first thing in the morning, before the rest of the passengers (and Dean) awoke. She definitely needed coffee before she turned her mind to figuring out how come her powers were back when she'd awoken. Not that it wasn't a good thing - Jaz had been on the edges of neurosis for days as she'd spent her time in the gym trying to hone her reflexes to her pre-power-loss status. Unsuccessfully. Meanwhile she'd watched as Dean played around with his new-found magic, which had it's fun points, but deep down she was terrified her powers wouldn't return. "You're Eldrhyr! Do you really think some freaked-out train can take that away from you?" her Teen Self looked up from her magazine and rolled her eyes. "Besides, that would basically make you dead, right?" Jaz hadn't felt dead, but she'd not felt Eldrhyr either, and that had scared her almost as much as loosing touch with her guide, Roual. When she'd astrally projected - one of many ways of contacting the Angelic Realm - she'd been scared, but when her powers went too... yeah, that was too much. "Will you chill the fuck out," her Inner Bimbo lay lounged on the lawn, taking in the day's sun. "You're powers are back, and everything's cool, and you've got a smokin' hot guy waiting back there for you, so get gone already!" It was hard to argue with that logic. Jaz hopped up onto the counter to wait for her coffee to brew while she tried to settle her mind. She slid a slice of bread into the toaster to sate her appetite. Just as it popped up the door opened, and Jaz looked up to see a guy she didn't recognise. "Coffee should be done in a few minutes," she said with a smile, "Jaz Parks. I don't think we've met." |
