It hadn't been so bad at first this whole empath thing, feeling Lex's love and lust for her had made her dizzy with it but it had been easy enough to cope with, until it wasn't. Until they were stuck in this endless cycle of lust and sex to the point where nothing else seemed to matter. She'd tried going out onto the train but out there it was worse. There were so many people, so many emotions she'd barely even got out of the car before she'd had to come back. They really couldn't go on like this though, it was becoming hazardous to their health. Thankfully the other Lex that had shown up on the first day hadn't made a reappearance nor had she had another vision. With everything else she really didn't think she could cope with that. Nothing could possibly have been as bad as seeing the state Lex had been in when his parents had died but she didn't want to chance it. She knew it wasn't the only terrible thing he'd been through and she really didn't want to risk it.
Finally she'd got enough control together to remove herself from him, keeping out of the way while he got dressed and left the room, Now she was alone, with only her own feelings, which were admittedly bad enough at the moment, but at least they were all hers. She opened the vodka and sat on the bed, first in the lotus position until she realised she was too focused on staying like that to fully clear her mind, so now she was just lying on the bed, eyes closed, breathing deeply almost as if she was asleep. She'd never been much good at the meditation part of yoga but she was giving it a good shot. Focusing on her heart, her breathing, her muscles. Of course she'd have no idea if any of this was working until Lex got back, but for not the peace was nice, more than that - it was wonderful.
