WHO: Elena & Damon WHAT: Sometimes love makes you do stupid things. WHERE: Their cabin WHEN: Night of the 19th RATING: High STATUS: in progress
Elena ran her hands through her long, soaked hair as she stood in the shower of the cabin she shared with her boyfriend, washing out the conditioner she'd put in a few moments earlier, her head tipped back under the spray. She was more trying to distract herself from the current situation than anything else right now, thinking about the fact that her and Damon had practically switched roles overnight a few days ago with Elena now being the supernatural one and him being normal. At least there weren't any evil vampires around to chase Damon and threaten his life like Elena's had been for so long...
The girl sighed and let the warm water wash away her stress, her hands sliding down her petite body, brown eyes closed tight. She knew Damon wasn't taking his new humanity too well and Elena had, had to make sure he was drinking less and actually eating what he needed--worrying over him, of course, which was exactly what he didn't like her to do. But if he could worry over her new powers, she could do the same over his mortality. She loved him too much to stand back, and being a couple...they were in this together, whatever the train might continue to throw at them.
Elena leaned down to shut off the water when she was done washing up, the cabin going quiet since Damon had wandered off some thirty minutes ago, complaining about being hungry. She smiled at the thought while squeezing the water from her hair and stepping out of the tub to wrap a towel around her small form. She soon headed into the bedroom, clicking on the lamp on her nightstand to dimly illuminate the room. She had no idea when Damon would be back, but she couldn't be too bothered--it wasn't like he'd come home with a broken arm or something... She shook her head and finished drying off, tossing the towel onto the chair and then pulling a pair of panties from the dresser to slip into. She kinda liked the quiet right now, brushing out her damp hair as she stood in front of the mirror in her knickers, finding herself beginning to sing softly. "It's like you're a drug..."
