Cows!

Summary: Prim watches cows
Status: Open, ongoing
Prim had heard about the cow reality from some of the others on board. It was apparently notable because it had been the only place they'd gone through twice -- and now, apparently, they were going through it a third time. She wondered if there was something to that, or if it was a convenient pass-through for the train. She also wondered why it took them so long to pass through each reality. It couldn't really have taken two weeks to go through an entire world, could it? The trains from the Capitol could go thousands of miles in a day, and if people ever sat down and really thought about it ... But someone else must have. If she was pondering it, it had crossed minds sharper than her own. With Buttercup safely tucked into the cardboard box serving as his bed, settling down for the night, Prim had crept out of the room when she saw the reality change outside the bedroom window. She wanted to get a better view of it, and yet she didn't want to go outside -- it looked like rain. Settling into one of the seats, Prim checked the front page of her device to see where they were. Undisclosed was displayed, and she frowned lightly at the phone. Well, so what? She didn't have to know the name of it. The stop was still the same, and she wondered if that was next, or if there'd be more realities first. Turning off her phone, Prim tucked it into her pocket before leaning forward to watch the passing scenery. It was dark, and what moon there was was playing peek-a-boo in the clouds. Flashes of lightning lit the sky, and distant thunder rumbled. Prim found it strangely peaceful, though that peace was tainted when she wondered what the train was going to do to them in this reality. |
