Words could not express how excited Quinn was for prom. No, it wasn't a Lawndale prom - nothing ever would or could be. But it was something, and she was incredibly excited. She'd picked up her dress at the last stop - it wasn't quite prom-y enough, a little too bridesmaid-y, so she'd added a large rhinestone (or could it be real diamonds? She had no idea) brooch to the waist. It had been in a large chest in the baggage car, and Quinn thought it looked appropriately blingy for the prom. In true before-the-prom style, she'd spent hours on her hair and makeup, and she was convinced no one would look as beautiful as she did.
She surveyed the parlor car, impressed with the work she, Brittany, and Tristan had done. All the furniture had been moved into other cars except a few chairs, and there was a speaker system moved in from the entertainment car so they could have DJ music when Brittany didn't feel like singing anymore. The decorations weren't that great, but they'd had to make do - strands of crepe paper flowers and some balloons that Quinn hadn't had any idea where they'd come from. There wasn't a proper stage for crowning, and the crowns for king, queen, prince and princess were just paper, nothing special... but Quinn was still excited for the moment when the prom queen crown would be placed on her head! She just knew she was going to win.
It wouldn't be long before the festivities were under way. She just had to make sure that no one who wasn't supposed to be there showed up.
