"Oh, I'm not saying for sure we are from your world. It's plain enough on the train that there are ... hundreds, if not thousands of realities out there. A lot of them are similar, but ... a few of them are radically different. If you talk to enough people, and start going through major world events, you'll find the ones from very different worlds fast enough."
Jaime shrugged a little. "We have theories, and I don't think the train's magic. We heard evolving AI, and that implies technology. As far as people with insight on it ... yeah, that'd be pretty magical at this point." She just didn't think there was anyone on board who had actual insight, because if they did ... she sure as hell hoped they'd be sharing.
While she wasn't keen on certain people going home to their own worlds, she was very keen on a certain person coming back to her world -- and she wanted the chance to have that happen. So if someone on board could figure out how to make that happen ... she'd be all for that.
"So, anything else I can show you?" She grinned a little, and once he was off the stone and safely away from the open part of the pool, she'd turn the stone back to water.
