Characters: Jane Foster and Grey White
When: Tuesday morning
Location: Kitchen Car
Warnings/Rating: None. As always, if this changes, I will update.
Summary: A hungry Jane goes in search of food
Status: Closed/ongoing

So far Jane had been lucky enough to escape the shenanigans of the train. She had all of her memories in tact and so did Thor. Clint had been hit by the train but she was hopeful that he would regain his memories and until then, he had a large support system behind him. Right now, the only issue that Jane was truly worried about was Loki's arrival. He had the power to cause a lot of trouble for a lot of people.

Slipping out of her sleeper car, she trudged down to the kitchen car. She then went to the fridge and opened it, surveying the contents before pulling out the ingredients she needed to make an omelette. Before starting her omelette, her first order of business was to make coffee. Coffee was always a necessity in the morning for her. She went over to the coffee maker, putting in enough coffee for more than one cup as she thought she'd be nice to the next person that came to the kitchen car. They'd have a fresh cup of coffee waiting for them.

Grey was pretty bloody confused to say the least. She might have been enjoying the university experience and the freedom it entailed but she wasn't really the type of girl to get wasted and go home with a complete stranger, no matter how gorgeous he was, and the man she'd woken up next to had been gorgeous, and fast asleep thankfully, which meant she'd been able to creep out without disturbing him, probably not the most grown-up way of dealing with the situation but she couldn't quite deal with the awkwardness of having a conversation with a stranger about how she remembered nothing of the night before. It didn't look good, and she didn't want him to think she regretted whatever the hell had happened, because well if she had seen him last night there was a very fair chance she'd have attempted to stick her tongue down his throat. She'd just really like to have been able to remember whatever the hell had happened.

Of course waking up next to the very attractive naked man had only been the start to something of an epic headfuck. She was convinced now that she'd been spiked, hopefully not by Naked Man or she'd have to cut his balls off, but it was the only explanation. She was still tripping, which was why the world outside was in black and white. She did really seem to be on a train though, which was worrying to say the least. Still as far as she knew it was Saturday, so at least she didn't have to worry about missing lectures. She wanted to know how she'd got on a train though, where it was going, that kind of thing. Also she wanted a shower, but since the only room she'd been in so far was that of Naked Man she wasn't going to take a shower there.

She kept checking her phone as she walked, someone was attempting an explanation, it wasn't exactly helping to calm her much, but there wasn't much she could do on a moving train other than deal with it, maybe avoid Naked Man and then get off and try to get back to Manchester as soon as she could.

It was the scent of coffee that made her stop in the kitchen car, that seemed strange, that passengers could just walk through the kitchen, weren't there health and safety rules against that? She gave the other woman a bit of a nod and smile by way of greeting and found the coffee maker. "Mind if I...?" she held it up and looked for a mug without waiting for an answer. It was too early to start drinking, maybe caffeine would help, maybe she'd start piecing things back together, or maybe she'd go and find the bloke she'd been talking to.

Taking a long sip of coffee and sighed heavily and ran her hands through her hair. This really wasn't how she wanted to start her weekend.

Jane smiled as another passenger entered the kitchen car and headed for the coffee maker. "Not at all." Jane replied. "I made more than I needed just for that purpose." Jane smiled, happy that she helped someone's day, even if it was just one small way.

"Are you hungry? I'm making an omelette for breakfast but I have seemed to have made too much. There's plenty here if you'd like some." Jane stirred to egg mixture in the pan before glancing at the girl, who was looking a little rough around the edges.

"Rough night?" Jane asked. "Is everything okay? Well, as much as they can be considering our circumstances."

Okay so there was someone organised and helpful on the train, which meant things could be worse, they could also be a hell of a lot better but Grey was trying ever so hard to remain optimistic. "Thanks," she said, casting her a grateful smile.

"You are a life saver," she said with a little laugh when she offered her food. She'd been so distracted by the whole waking up on a train thing that she hadn't realised how hungry she was. "Seriously, that'd be great, thank you."

Grey winced at the question. Rough probably wasn't quite the right word, the bits she remembered had been great, dancing, drinking, laughing. She hadn't drunk that much, she was sure of it, but there were definite blank spots, like meeting the man she'd woken up next to. "Rough morning," she said, silent for a moment as yet again she tried to piece it all together, and then to work out how to answer the other question. "Under the circumstances they're great," she said with just a hint of sarcasm. "It's just that the circumstances are...really terrible?" She shook her head and drank some more coffee, holding the mug a little too tight, because it was solid and hot and real, something she needed when everything else felt like a dream.

"I woke up here and I don't remember what happened last night." God that sounded terrible, didn't it? "It's not me."

Jane smiled as she tended to the eggs. "I know that coffee is a requisite in my morning. I don't think I'd be fit to enter society if I didn't have my morning coffee." Jane grinned, going to the bread box and pulling out the bread and going to the toaster.

Jane turned to the girl. "Are you new on the train?" Jane asked. She knew that there were new people arriving all of the time but she also knew that there was a bout of amnesia going around on the train. "Or have you been here for awhile and suddenly can't remember? Although, that's a dumb question because you wouldn't remember either way." Jane paused. "What's the last thing you remember."
