I am the night Characters: Bruce Wayne and OPEN When: Monday night, after his sudden and unexpected arrival but before his network post. Location: hallway, all over. AKA MEET AND GREET, Bat-style. Closed/Open: Open and ongoing
The initial change had taken some getting used to.
One minute he was in the den, more specifically on his way to the Bat Cave for a now-habitual trip which he knew wouldn't go anywhere (he'd kept patrols down to a few nights a week, just enough to maintain a presence without taunting the police too much and the inactivity was KILLING him but it was better that the city was quiet, better for everyone), the next he was standing in a hallway he'd never been in before. A glance around, a moment to get his bearings, and the floor hummed and vibrated under his feet, something clattering even further below that, and even if he hadn't found a window nearby to look through it would have been obvious he was moving. On a train, he assumed, though it was a passing observation, mind clicking away with the evidence it was given despite his consciousness' insistence that this was absurd. That it wasn't happening, that it COULDN'T happen, because he'd been in his own house only a moment ago. That you couldn't step through a door and suddenly be on a train without warning.
And yet.
Bruce continued down the hallway, the casual, perpetually-amused facade of Bruce Wayne: public figure sliding into place. Someone here had to know SOMETHING.
