Juliette had only explored the train a tiny bit before deciding to hide in her room. This had to be a bad nightmare. No way could a train take people from their world and bring them here. That was just impossible! The whole thing was giving her a huge headache but lucky for her, she had her huge purse and had some aspirin in it, which helped for a while. The sight of Monroe around made her so happy because it was someone she knew. Only part of her was happy to see Nick because her mind kept going back to the crazy stuff he had been saying. Juliette wanted to believe it was the stress of his job, but he seemed to be sticking with the story and that scared her even more. The bigger part of her just wanted to have his arms around her where she felt safe, especially right now because this train thing was not really working on making her feel better about anything. Though she knew they had to talk about what had happen she had been hoping to avoid it for a bit longer. With a sigh, she moved from her room to lead to where he said his room was. Juliette had found some pants that fit her in the baggage car during some exploring and allowed her to get out of the wet pants. Only thing still on was the blue top from the day she arrived. Everything else was soaked, but she wasn’t all that worried about how she didn’t match or anything. Living with Nick caused him to see it all so she wasn’t all that worried. What she was worried about was this conversation. Finally finding his door, she knocked softly before hiding her hands in her pocket. The whole thing started because of the cat scratch on her hand so she figured hiding it would do some good. “Nick, it’s me,” she said softly. Juliette knew she could walk right in, but she felt better in case his roommate showed up since he had another name on the door. |
