It was still a joke, right?

Tristan had played around with the network while he'd taken to exploring the train. Most of the names on the doors meant nothing to him, but he saw some familiar ones. Weasley he knew. Granger threw him for a moment before he recalled that was Hugo and Rose's mum's maiden name. Evans took him even longer until he sussed out the connection from the conversation with Remus. He'd wondered if it was appropriate to tell him about Teddy, then figured it wasn't his place to be breaking that sort of news. When he came across Dorny's name, he'd been amused to think the Defense professor was here -- but then he saw the images on the network and realized she was younger. His-age younger. Which made him wonder if she even knew she was going to be a professor. Maybe tiny!Potter had mentioned it though. While he was willing to violate the Statute and flout himself to Muggles, he wasn't interested in potentially rupturing his own reality. So he'd keep all the things he knew to himself. Or track down Potter and Weasley to harass them later about what they might or might not have shared already. He wasn't sure what to think about the news of a no full moons, nor was he exactly keen on the idea of approaching Snape about the potion. He figured he'd give that a couple more days so he could settle in before he started making a pest of himself. He'd also been disappointed (but unsurprised) that Lan's name wasn't anywhere. The part of him that worried and feared was concerned he'd slip back into a depressive state without his mate to pull him up and poke him when he started down that path, but there was nothing to be done about it, was there? Maybe he could convince someone else to take that job for a bit. He guessed he couldn't really count on Lan showing up, either, but ... well, he'd hope. Whistling a little under his breath, Tristan made his way along the corridor of the train until he reached the rear dining car. He observed it for a moment or two before stepping over to a window. It occurred to him to wonder if he could pop off the train, but he guessed he'd wait for confirmation on that before he tried it. Still, it did look pretty out there. |
