Whoa

When: after Ari's arrival
Location: touring car
Warnings/Rating: None anticipated
Summary: Logan has some deja-vu
Status: Complete
Logan knew about the look-alike phenomenon. Didn’t Sookie resemble Rogue? But it was uncanny to see someone who looked like Jean on the train. She hadn’t smelled like her, or moved like her, but her features and her hair were very similar. He’d watched her as she’d passed by his car, and he thought if he’d been less shocked, he would have gone out to meet her. She looked like a very new arrival, and his eyes had followed her until she had passed the door to his compartment. Shaking his head slightly, Logan lit one of his cigars, shifting uncomfortably on the couch before deciding he should … what? Try to talk to her? Or let someone else handle it? All he’d do is try to compare her to Jean, and he shook his head at himself again. Settling back down into his seat, the door wide open, Logan kept half his attention on the passing scenery and the other half on anyone who might pass by in the hallway. He wanted to catch the sound of her voice to see if she sounded like Jean, too. He felt a brief flicker of worry that she’d become something like an obsession before he brushed it off. He was attracted to Jean, sure, but this woman, whoever she was, wasn’t Doctor Grey. She probably didn’t have the same qualities that he’d found attractive in Jean. He hoped not, anyway. He was doing his best to stay away from onboard romances. Sure, it was working for some people, but he’d rather not tangle with them. Trying to shake off his thoughts, Logan focused his attention more intently on the passing scenery. |
