It appeared that, after some poking around and penetrative investigation, the nasty little beasts that had been giving them such grief for the past week seemed to be popping up less and less frequently, the number of people staggering into the infirmary had gone down and Sherlock had been able to spend more time actually talking to John than chewing leaves to put on pus filled swellings. Things were certainly looking up, and so Sherlock had returned to his previous occupation.
Much as Sherlock had been enjoying the plight of the Hobbits the previous evening, he thought that Saturday heralded a time for something a little more relevant to his current study of 'rubbish people find entertaining these days'. It was a working title. Having rummaged through the vast collection of DVDs the train had accumulated he settled on a select few musicals. Way to kill several birds with one stone. High School Musical held little appeal to him, though he was sure he had heard of it and the Disney logo said it was probably a popular brand. Moulin Rouge on the other had a more promising air to it.
He settled down in the chair he had occupied the day before, DVD control in hand. It wasn't that he had high hopes, but there was always the possibility that popular culture wasn't just out to destroy the minds of the masses. And he liked Ewan McGregor.
