The first clue he had was the fact Hugo's name was gone off his door. The second clue was the sounds of wanton destruction going on behind said door. His lips pursed slightly, because he had every idea what that meant. The train had taken their son back, and Lily Luna was expressing her opinion of that. She really was getting screwed over by the train. Her parents, her cousin, who next? He thought about checking in on her -- he really did -- but he thought he'd end up making it worse, not better. He did feel bad, for her sake, but he felt a little relieved, too. Relieved that Hugo was safe at home. And, all right, a little relieved he wasn't there. Not that he didn't (well, wouldn't) love his son, but it had been bloody awkward. Still, he told himself he was just relieved Hugo was safe. That was his story, and he'd stick to it. With hands surprisingly devoid of food, Ron made his way into the room he shared with Hermione. He had no idea if she knew or not (and a quick glance to the network indicated that no one had posted anything about it), but he guessed starting off a conversation with 'so, our son's gone' wouldn't be the best way to go about things. Instead, he looked to see if she was there, and if she was, he tried to gauge what kind of mood she was in. Since he was notoriously bad at this, he wondered why he bothered anymore, but bother he did. He figured he had to guess lucky once in a while ... |
