Marian knew they would not cross the threshold, for whatever reason, into the next car. So she left the door open. She cried out as they closed in on him. It made it very hard to stay in place as she saw the first sting before she could call out.
"Robin..." She choked as he was stung a few more times. Hating that all she could do was watch. Why hadn't she brought a few daggers? She could have watched his back at the very least.
Once he was through the door, she didn't think to tell him he didn't have to bother closing it. She was more worried for him. Removing the dagger from his waist, she began to quickly pull the stingers out. "I'm fine, but you aren't. Stay still, the venom continues to pump into your system if the stingers stay in."
She plucked out three. As she'd seen that many, "Are there any more?" She asked softly. How many did it take before someone... Before the hallucinations started?
