Margaret felt weird about this whole train taking people from their worlds. Where it was a nice change from hiding in a school or fighting a war against aliens she found herself missing the people she started to trust. Captain Weaver hadn’t trusted her because she had been with Pope’s gang. Other people showed trust in Maggie, which was all she wanted from people. Out of all the women around the school, Sarah had wanted Maggie by her side when she gave birth to her daughter. On the train, she was safe for the most part, but she felt like she should be back with the 2nd mass fighting the battle along with everyone else. No, instead she was here and right now when she looked out all she saw was a whole lot of sand. Not her idea of fun, but what could she do? The idea of being social crossed her mind; however, she wasn’t good with people or at least she wasn’t once she joined Pope’s gang. It wasn’t probably the best idea she ever had, but it worked. Being tired of the four rooms known as her room, she decided to go do something that wasn’t inside her room. Dressed in her normal tank top and jeans, she argued with herself about whether to leave her guns or not. Back home she brought them with her everywhere, but she wasn’t sure if carrying a gun around here would make her seem odd. With a sigh, she left her weapons in the room since at least she had her knife on her, but she didn’t think she would need it. Heading to the front of the train, she wasn’t even sure what she was planning to do or even where she was going. Maggie figured she would find out when she saw it. Maybe staying in her room had been a better idea now that she was out and moving around. Then again it was the early morning so she didn’t think anyone would be all that awake right now. Entering the observation car, she glanced out the side while walking to see just sand still, but while she was busy looking out the window she didn’t pay attention to what was in front of her causing her to bump into someone. Her attention snapped back to whoever was in front of her, “I’m sorry. I wasn’t really looking where I was going,” she said quickly before anyone could jump down her throat or anything. |
