This boy, Mason, he was different from any she’d come in contact with before, at least in some regard. She wasn’t sure how to handle him. He was certainly still going to be an easy kill and meal for her family but how to go about doing it? He didn’t seem interested in coming back to where they were for an easy way, meaning she’d have to go about killing him here and dragging the body back. That would be messy and risky if anyone was tracking them. So how could she get him to agree to coming back with her for an easy, quick kill and supper?
“Why?” She asked. “Anonymity extends to names. I don’t really want to know your life story. Puts a bit of a damper on the events don’t you think?” She asked her eyes moving over him again assessing his usefulness and what recipe she would use to prepare him for her pack. She just made a stew the night before with an accountant and breakfast that morning, seemed only fitting she give them a proper roasted wizard over an open fire. They would appreciate that.
But then he pulled his cigarettes out and stared at the pack as if he was stupid. She saw modern things it wasn’t as if she didn’t, but why on earth would she soil her body with something like that? She was a wolf not a wizard. She needed her physical strengths to maintain her dominance over them and her separation of them. SHE unlike THEM didn’t try and destroy everything in her path. She only killed when necessary and unfortunately with growing pups they had to feed them more often.
“Brainwashed and inbred?” She asked him rather stupidly because she had never heard those terms together before. “I am hardly brainwashed or inbred. What on earth would make you think such a vile thing?” She asked him actually offended. She was a wolf, part of a pack; her family. Honestly who would brainwash any of them? That was ridiculous.
“We’re not a cult..” She said trailing off before arching a brow at him. “And only to some did those events die off. The proper society took over and left most people who enjoyed the openness of nature to be hidden or ashamed of their choices. I would say it still lives on today, you just have to find them.”
But then he said he would take her out and buy her a burger if she was hungry? “What do you mean take me out? We are out. We’re certainly far from in at any rate and I have very hungry family members waiting for me to find them a meal so if you don’t mind I’d like to skip past the ‘I’m actually a werewolf going to destroy you’ ‘oh god don’t kill me’ stage and get to the slaughter and dragging your heavy body back with me part.”
She gave him a look when he laughed before she opened her mouth to expose her slightly lengthened teeth, much like a wolf would have. “I wasn’t lying.” She said a moment before pouncing on him and trying to hold him down so she could bite and kill him. She wasn’t too good with magic, now she could use it, but Fenrir didn’t encourage them to do so around the camp so she never practiced and therefore now was rather less than skilled. “STOP FIGHTING ME.” She snapped at him, “OR I WILL MAKE IT PAINFUL.”
