Something was wrong. Circe could feel it in her bones, or at least that was how she described it to William who was becoming increasingly agitated at the situation at hand. He didn’t understand and she knew that. But she wanted to be with Fenrir. He didn’t’ make her afraid, he didn’t hurt her and all he did do was take care of her. How could she let her selfish needs and wants get between that when he was so willing to do for her? “What’s wrong?” She asked as she turned to look where William’s gaze went and saw what he did. A fight. “Stay here.” Where was she going? “To get your father. We need him.” She said before taking off toward where the group was.
Circe ignored Embry’s warnings as she came forward. “FENRIR.” She yelled at him trying in vain to get his attention. She didn’t want this! This was never what she wanted him to resort to in order to gain his rightful inheritance. Why would he do this? She would have given up that lifestyle if he asked it of her. She would have done anything to be with him. Why did he have to attack Embry?
“Fenrir PLEASE. It’s not worth it.” She called as she finally seemed to get his attention. Though he wasn’t pleased with her it seemed because he was growling at her. Maybe it was her time with Antonin, maybe it was her preparation for such anger through that that had her refuse to back down from her lover. “Fenrir..please…” She spoke softer but with no less desperation for him to listen.
He didn’t listen and attacked again, “STOP.” But then he was down and her first reaction was to go to him. That was her husband, unofficially true, but she still felt that about him. She didn’t want him hurt even if it was a fight she would always take his side. Circe ran forward toward him as Fenrir attacked his sister again, begging him to stop. This wasn’t what she wanted for them. She wanted them to have their freedom not him getting himself locked up! “ “Baby please!” She cried out as she got closer to them, but then she watched in horror as Embry was thrown aside and blood appeared, from where she couldn’t see form her angle but it was---he was going to get himself put down!
“FENRIR.” She screamed on deaf ears as he began speaking in a way she had—it terrified her more than some of the things Antonin said. How could he say those things? She finally reached him, her hands grabbing at him, trying in vain to get his attention. “Fenrir, Stop please? This isn’t—“ But she never got to finish her sentence. She felt her body hit the ground, instantly her face was bruised from the force he used over what Antonin did and her lip split, blood falling from the injury.
Circe looked up at Fenrir as he went after his sister again and she couldn’t allow it. She couldn’t let him do it and lose everything they were trying for. Embry could be a selfish bitch and hide the key forever, the Burke family had money invested in their shop. She could ask her great uncle for the money for a loan even. She would have done anything, but this. This was wrong.
Circe forced herself up and as Fenrir attacked she moved, shoving Embry’s body out of his reach, unfortunately that meant she was now between him and his prey. “Fenrir..” Circe tried to plead with him. She watched him move and Circe moved in front of him. She heard yells for her to move but even as she shook from fear, she refused. “He won’t…” She tried to say with confidence though she didn’t feel it though she was thrown back once more to the ground, a darker bruise now on her face where she was hit for the second time.
