Sirius nodded at the knowledge that she wasn’t a natural blonde. Though that didn’t help him feel any more relaxed. She had naturally dark hair, which was just another sign that she could be theirs, and another sign that something could happen to Embry. He shook his head at himself and sighed. Because he really needed to stop asking the ‘what if’ questions, when in a short period of time, they’d have the answer in black and white. Or rather, in blue and green. He read the instructions over her shoulder, and swallowed hard, pacing the room. Yes, there was definite awkwardness. “How long is this supposed to take?” He asked, and at her answer, he merely nodded, and paced a little more, hoping he wouldn’t wear a hole into the floor from it.
“What will it mean?” He asked suddenly, and he looked over at her, stopping from his pacing for a moment. “If it’s positive I mean. I know you have your…own life, but… you do understand that just by your knowing…our knowing, it could change everything?” What did he mean? He sat on the couch, and looked at her, not looking at the vial that was currently flicking between a variety of colours as it worked. “If your ours, know that I’ll do everything in my power to keep you and Embry safe, and that because of that? Anything that…that could happen won’t. Your adopted parents… they won’t be anything to do with you anymore. Any siblings? Unless you know something we don’t, there won’t be any.” He looked up at the ceiling, then down at her again. “Just know what it’ll mean. If you’re more than happy with what you have now, if you don’t want to know if it’ll change anything just…we can throw the potion out of the window now, and go our separate ways.” He grabbed some papers from the desk and placed them over the vial, so that neither could see whether the results were clear or not. “I’d quite like to know, but it’s your life it affects, Zenia. It’s your call.”
