It was the one time she couldn't sense someone behind her, when she just let the music take her away. Thus it took her a few moments more than normal before she realized that someone was there. She knew that it wouldn't have been the band - they were in Scotland. Zee stopped in mid-chord and stood up. Holding the guitar by the neck, before letting herself relax. "No," she shook her head. "That's alright. Probably should stop messing about... plenty of time for that later, right? Besides," she shrugged, "this one isn't mine."
Zee walked over and put the guitar back in its stand, next to the other six that had been left behind in the room. She turned and nodded, "I'm fine," yeah this wasn't awkward... "Been keeping my head down. Found a new protected spot to practice..." She stiffened slightly when he said the safehouse, then again she didn't know who he was. Who he really was. From her view they knew there was one, they'd been out in the woods! But she'd never give up the location. Ever! "Well you know," she said, she forced a smile on her face, "Woman's gotta eat..."
Zee let out a breath, listening to Wil's question. "Yeah," she nodded, "that might be best... get it over with and everything?" She really hated this awkwardness. Zee moved back to the couch where her guitar case was sitting and unzipped it revealing her guitar and two blasting rods - one mahogany, one oak - that sat with it, powerful spell casting weapons that were heavier than a wand, but packed quite a punch when used, they were also rather hard to find - and not as easy as a wand to make. From an inside pocket she reached in and took out a crystal vial she'd gotten from Mungo's (along with some instructions that had been written out for her). She glanced at him with a small smile. "These things come in very handy," she was referring to the guitar case.
She put the vial down on a table in front of them and took the hair he was holding out to her. She let out a chuckle at his comment. "What this old thing?" She pulled out one of her own hairs. To the eye it looked blonde through and through, but she couldn't help a small grin. "Don't let this get out, but I'm not a natural blonde," she confessed. "My hair? Dark as anything. This is a dye job. Been been doing it for years. Helps our fans differentiate on stage between me and our drummer, Lorraine, plus? I think it looks better." A tiny bit of dark could be seen if someone looked close enough at the underside, but only a tiny bit. She'd done it for many reasons, one of them being to fit in with her brothers and mother. She smiled, that smile she used when she was dealing with the starry eyed fans who wanted to get closer to her. Her 'star' smile.
She took the stopper off the vial and first put one hair - his - then the other - hers - inside. And then it was the wait. The instructions - written on a small piece of parchment said that if it turned green (the potion itself was a sickly blue) then it was positive. If it turned yellow. So there was just to wait. She glanced at Wil instead of at the potion. Yeah... not awkward at all.
