The more she talked about big secrets, the bigger the lump in Sirius’ throat grew. He wanted to tell her, he was aching to tell her. It wasn’t the first time, either. After it was obvious that they were becoming something more serious, they’d been lying in bed together, and talking about school. And what was there Sirius could say about school? He told the basics, that he had some friends, one he who he wished death on, one he was still close to, and one who died… he just didn’t offer up any names for all the obvious reasons. He was just thankful that through being quite a bit older than her, she wasn’t in school at the same time as him, and that it was more than likely that by the time she started school, the only reputation he had was for being a murderer. But she couldn’t respect him for lying? At that, he almost opened up his mouth to tell her everything, but he closed it again, and rubbed a hand over his face. No. When the time came, when he was able to explain everything, she’d understand why he had to do what he did. He would tell her everything there was to know about him once the time was right. But the time most certainly wasn’t right surrounded by snatchers, all who would sell their very souls for the information that Sirius Black was alive and well.
“There’s nothing to forgive. You were scared. You were protecting our baby. I promise, I don’t hate you for it. There isn’t a thing you could do that could make me hate you. ” He said honestly, moving his arms around her neck, rubbing her back in a circular motion. He pressed his face into her hair, and sighed, before taking in a deep sniff of her shampoo. He could stay like this all day quite easily. Scabior didn’t understand how he felt about her, but Sirius didn’t care, since he was an idiot, and had no idea how to treat women with respect. And Fenrir? He rarely said anything about the two of them dating. Really, he rarely spoke of or two his sister unless it was berating her, or downright upsetting her. Sirius had stepped in more than once to try and stop him, which led to a few fist fights, but never in Embry’s presence. Which was just as well as Sirius held his own, and often overpowered Fenrir, which neither spoke of. But as Embry had noticed, when the two argued, he too had noticed that Fenrir backed down quicker, and he smirked as she mentioned they acted like two dogs. “Well, he just knows an alpha man when he sees one.” He laughed, pressing his lips to her neck and blowing a raspberry into it.
“I’ll speak to him as soon as he’s awake, but I’d prefer it if you made yourself scarce when I did…I don’t want him smelling you. As great as you smell.” He teased, kissing her again. The more he thought about it, the better he felt about what was happening. “I love you, you know that right? I love you, and everything about you, and our baby. And know that everything I do is for you both. Even the bad things.” He heard movement from one of the other rooms, probably Scabior, and he rolled his eyes. “I’m just going to tell him I’m not working today. He can go out without me, but he won’t. Naturally, he’s completely lost without me.” Having a brief look around, to see that they were still alone, he moved his head closer to her, and looked at her serious. “Tell me something. Honestly. What do you really think of… him?” He daren’t say Voldemort’s name, in fear of something being set off. “Do you really think Harry Potter deserves being hunted like a dog?”
