She wasn't cold but her body couldn't help but to shake, her lip quivering. She was afraid of his reaction. She knew deep down she shouldn't have been because regardless of his job? She knew he was a good man. A good, kind man. No evil, vile being could hold her the way he did, could make her feel the way he did. He had gentle eyes and eyes were the window to the soul. Now she was in love and probably read too deep into things, as most girls do, but he felt different, he was different, even if he was involved with her brother and his goons. But she was feeling horrible. She failed him, what if he thought she was out to trap him? She'd never do that but what if he thought it? What if... her mind was full of what ifs at the moment.
When he repeated what she said, she could only nod. "Fenrir is going to use this as the excuse he has been looking for, I just know it." She was terrified for herself but now? She wanted to protect the baby more than ever and to prove it? One of her arms moved over her lap to guard her stomach, not from Will but just in general. No bump had formed yet from what she could tell, obviously if one had then he would have known as well. But still, it didn't change the fact that a being was growing inside of her. Will assured her, as he often did when she grew upset because of Fenrir, that he wouldn't lay a hand on her or the child, his words seemed stronger as if he was more determined than before which lessened one fear she had of his leaving, but she still couldn't hide the paleness of her features that her fear brought out.
"I don't want him hurting you either." She spoke in a soft tone. "You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I don't want Fenrir taking you away too." Though Fenrir never admitted to any murders or abductions of their parents, Embry suspected it. She almost teased her when he spoke about them.
She was a bit shocked, happy shocked, to see the tears in his eyes. See, he was different from the others. The others thought it was their right for children and it was just making sure their genes wouldn't leave the world when they did. Scabior had a unknown number running around that he never even seen, she couldn't toy with the thought of being one of those poor women.
But much like he often did? Even in her most uncertain moment, he brought out the smile which was wide and a small laugh came through as she sniffed and nodded. "I haven't had much time to really think on it but it is... Very amazing." Her hand came up to hold his that rested pn her cheek, her eyes closed as she snuggled a bit into his palm for a moment before turning in his touch to kiss the inside of her hand, nodding at his words and releasing him when he stood.
