Scorpius referring to what happened during that Quidditch game as an accident only further reinforced Lily’s belief in his innocence – but the reason she believed it had nothing to do with Scorpius, and everything to do with her. She’d never outright asked Scorpius if it had been an accident, or if he was at all involved – she’d always assumed that he had nothing to do with it, and he never corrected her, and in doing so, Lily thought it to be the truth, and never questioned it. “I know you try to hold your tongue, and I know it’s hard for you, and I do appreciate it. But if you ever want to let loose on them? Feel free to do it. They probably would’ve done something to deserve it.” She shrugged, rubbing her thumb over the back of his hand. At the mention of Albus wanting her to choose, Lily sighed, looking down at their linked hands, distracted. Because getting married without telling them had shown she’d made a choice, hadn’t it? That she chose to be with a man that her family despised, disregarding their feelings in favour of her own. And that if her brothers chose not to be in her life because of it, she would’ve told herself that it didn’t matter because she had everything she wanted. “They wouldn’t make me choose because they wouldn’t want to know the outcome.” She argued softly, her defence of her brother falling on death ears, as Lily felt the soft kisses on the pulse in her wrist, and she closed her eyes as he worked his way up.
Lily Malfoy. Hearing the name sent a satisfying shiver through her body, and the way he said it, in such a husky voice, made it sound even better, and made her want him even more. At some point during their conversation, it appeared that Scorpius had been able to gain the upper hand, and she’d allowed it to happen, and now she was too wrapped up in him to even consider fighting for it back. She wanted him to spoil her, do whatever he wanted, while she just let him. She moaned into the kiss, her hand limping slightly to indicate to him that he won, but in case it wasn’t clear enough, once they pulled away, she pressed her lips to his ear. “I think you’re winning.” She muttered, leaning back and closing her eyes again. Their lips crashed against each other once more, and with every touch and kiss he made, Lily felt more of her troubles slipping away. She told herself that things would look better in the morning… that Albus would get a chance to calm down, talk to James about it, they could both be angry together, and then…what? They could get over it? Or they could never speak to her again. And with the latter…. Lily pushed it to the back of her mind as she felt Scorpius’ hands on her upper thighs again, underneath her skirt, and she looked at him. “Make sure you cast before we do anything. I know it’s uncomfortable, but…Things are fucked up enough as it is right now, we don’t want anything else ruining things.” Her voice came across as cold, but her eyes were softer as she stared at him, hoping he understood.
