Scorpius let out a low hum from the back of his throat when Lily pressed her lips to his neck, more for her sake than anything else. Scorpius wasn't particularly vocal, not at this point, but sometimes- when he knew Lily was having a rough time of it- he let himself out more. His logic being that since he absolutely adored knowing what he could do to her, she'd probably appreciate the same treatment. Turning his head even further to give her better access to the skin of his throat, he moved the hand not on her thigh to tangle in her short, red locks. Chuckling low in his throat at her words, he hummed in agreement. "He does have a penchant for revealing incredibly important secrets without ever properly grasping how devastating the repercussions will be." Scorpius mumbled in agreement, sliding his fingers through her hair to rest his hand on the back of her neck.
When she returned her attentions to his neck though, he thought that the talking was done for now which was good. Scorpius loved talking to Lily, but right now he had other things on his mind. Things that involved sliding his hand up her thigh and under the hem of her skirt. There was something about Lily in a skirt that had his heart beating faster, especially when she was this close- clad in only a bra and that delicious short number. Loathe as he was to admit it, a lump formed in his throat the closer his fingers inched to her knickers and then-- then she was pulling away and Scorpius couldn't hold back the disappointed groan that escaped from the loss of her. He was about to tug her back when he properly looked at her. The only thought that came to mind then was, 'God damnit Albus.' before he held back a sigh and waited for her to speak.
There were a lot of reasons why Scorpius disliked the Potter brothers. Actually, dislike was too weak a word. He hated Lily's brothers for things he was guilty of himself, but refused to acknowledge. He hated their arrogance. He hated how quick they were to insult him. But most of all, he hated how they made Lily feel for dating him. Were Scorpius a less selfish person, he would have stepped back and not ever put Lily in a position where she would have to choose between her brothers and him. Scorpius was far from selfless though. He wanted Lily and he didn't intend to give her up. To be fair, it wasn't Scorpius who ever did the pressuring. His insults came out when James and/or Albus did something particularly stupid to upset their sister. Other than that, he left the sensitive subject alone. "Your fault?" Scorpius repeated, his lips pursing in the same disapproving look his father had mastered all those years ago. "The only person at fault is your brother, Lily. He's a grown man and he insists on behaving like a child. Every time something happens that he doesn't like he throws a tantrum or runs off. You can't blame yourself for his immaturity- that's hardly your fault." Scorpius said, his words crisp and concise because it was the truth, as far as Scorpius was concerned. When she mentioned him seeing the ring, his own eyes darted down to the engagement ring and wedding band that adorned her finger. For a moment, he worried she might regret it, but then her lips were on his and Scorpius could do nothing but return the kiss.
"It wasn't the Quidditch accident. They hated me from the start. We've never gotten along, your brothers and I. That's just their excuse, the incident they choose to lord over you. Even if he'd never been hurt, they'd still hate me. That's just their way of justifying it. I've tried civility. I hold my tongue. I only get involved when they devolve into the uncivilized cavemen that they are and start insulting you, but nothing matters to them." Which was what really bugged Scorpius, they didn't even try. It was clear he meant something to Lily, but that didn't matter to her brothers. They didn't care. They were selfish.
