"But of course!" Spencer rose from his chair. "What kind of man do you take me for, Doctor? I will release the lock on your bars." Just as soon as he was far enough away that William couldn't take matters into his own hands, of course. "After all, you should have some time to become acquainted with your new surroundings. I have set up a home for you just outside the complex. There is a map--" he gestured towards the wall with his head, "--posted on the wall here. I've circled your house. I do hope the accommodations are to your liking." He smiled once more. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have quite a few things to attend to... quite a few indeed."
And with that, Spencer was out of the room, walking briskly down the hall. He reached into his coat pocket, retrieving a small device with an assortment of buttons on it.
"Well, Mr. Birkin," he said, quietly, "let's see what you think of my beautiful island."
And with that, he had pushed the button, and was through an iron-clad door.
