WHO: Riddle Carrows & Lucinda Isaacs WHERE: The dungeons. WHEN: Friday evening, after dinner. WHY: Because it's about time they had their little rendezvous. RATING: tbd STATUS: In progress, incomplete.
Her shoes clicking quietly as she walked, Lucinda descended the stairs at a leisurely pace. She had just left the library, having finished her school assignments for the week. Completing her homework before the weekend was a habit she'd established early on, not wanting to spend her two free days worrying about her school work. She idly listened to the voices and laughter coming from the students as she made her way through the school, level by level, the noise echoing through the large corridors. Her right hand lightly trailed the smooth handrail, feeling for any tiny imperfection, though her hand tightened briefly when she skipped one of the trick steps. The move was second nature to her, something she didn't even have to pause to think about.
To be honest, she quite enjoyed being back at school. Falling into the rhythm of Hogwarts had always been a near seamless transition for her, having never been afflicted with homesickness and possessing a nature that had never been prone to rebelliousness when faced with structured environments. It was almost comforting, even, being reunited with her friends and the people who, for better or worse, were part of her daily life during the good majority of the year.
Finally reaching the Entrance Hall, she was stopped only once by a rather confused looking Ravenclaw first year who wasn't quite sure how to get to his common room. Suppressing the urge to sigh, she gave him the directions ("go up and then left"), and was soon on her way again. Nodding once in greeting as she passed the Fat Friar, she quickly came upon the staircase that led her to the lower levels of Hogwarts. Finally reaching her destination, Lucinda started navigating her way through the dungeons.
