Having bent over to right the elephant leg, and replace the umbrellas belonging inside it, Remus had missed the transformation of the woman - now child - before him. He looked up at her reintroduction, yelping loudly in surprise and upsetting the umbrella stand himself as he took a step backwards before fully righting his frame, landing on the floor with a thud and prompting a cackle of laughter from Walburga.
He could recognize her now, as this was the way he had last known her; a little girl with a soft face but eyes already qualified for trouble making. She was a favorite of Sirius', a hybrid cousin and niece, who never had a chance to appear on the Black family tapestry, as her mother had been blasted off before she'd even been dreamed of. "Dora," croaked Remus, scrambling to stand up and brush himself off. "I didn't recognize you, I'm sorry."
