Which Rose gladly gave in. Lips met, eyes fluttered, and her heart raced as soon as his lips touched hers. It was all a bit...sudden, really. She didn't even know if they--well, erm...never mind! He was kissing her and there she was, wrapping her arms around his neck, kissing him back.
She ended it. Because something told her if she pressed closer her hands would roam and that--although her oddly active hormonal body would enjoy quite thoroughly--wasn't something neither of them were ready for.
Rose couldn't open her mouth, and when she did, there was nothing that came out. Her body screamed yes! but mostly for the hopes that he might just bend down and continue the kiss she ended; but then her mind quite thoroughly disagreed, because her conscience would plague her night-and-day by keeping the universe's defender all by herself. He was a hero. Hero's carried on.
"I.."
She didn't need marriage, formalities, or even a domestic life to sate the female in her. All she needed was him.
