The Doctor never failed to leave her speechless. Rose's eye brows knitted closely together, as if she were concentrating on something entirely difficult, and her lips pursed together in thought; Rose was entirely confused--did he just propose? If he did, it was a sooty proposal, but she knew The Doctor would never be a suave, romantic gentleman most girls swoon for.
He's more of the manic-geek type.
Not that she minded but his ramblings were a sure shot of causing a brain aneurism, and she wasn't even twenty-three yet!
"Doctor slow down!" She threw her hands up in the air to try to quiet him, but he went off on another tangent--which left Rose defeated.
And when he was done, and only when he was done, Rose let out a sigh of relief; she loved his voice, but she loved it even more when he made sense. "Breathe." She told him as her lips slowly formed a smirk. All she had to do was take his hand, squeeze it gently, and gaze up into his doe brown eyes.
"Did you just propose to me?"
Alright. So it probably wouldn't be an opportune moment to laugh but the overwhelming urge began to gnaw at her lips, forcing them to curve into a broader smile, regardless of her unyielding fight to keep a straight face. She really shouldn't laugh, especially after his confession, but Rose just...well, Rose knew him. She wasn't the first to know him, but she wasn't the last either; their connection was just as deep as all the other companions he's traveled with, they just had a different kind of connection. Rose a few years back would easily grow possessive--and does have bouts of possession from time-to-time--but after meeting a few of his companions, present and past, and especially seeing that his own family was one...she really couldn't complain.
Oh, but she did understand his bouts of melodrama (despite the overwhelming fact that Rose was as guilty of such things, too.) And after a few moments, she released a sporadic giggle, but quickly sobered when she leaned against the wall with him. She nudged him a bit, really not wanting to change the topic. After all, he didn't let her change the topic when she wanted too. "You could be a paradox and even then, one of the other you's could be. An' if this rift will cause the end of days, then enjoy it while it lasts, y'know?"
That's when Rose broke out into a huge smile. A single pink tongue poking out of her average set of teeth.
"Sara never said anythin' about husband and wife. I never really asked about it, mostly because the subject of me and me dying in her world wouldn't be a topic I'd think she'd want to talk about." Rose answered, finally, to his queries. "But if we ever become...more, or even just boyfriend an' girlfriend, I won't regret it. TARIS or no TARDIS; I'm happy with just being with you, but that's only if you don't completely change y'self for me. That wouldn't be right."
