Katniss had helped her into a change of clothing and wipe away most of the blood, but streaks of it still clung to her hair, caked under fingernails. Dolores scraped at her her dirtied cuticles numbly, hands folded in her lap as she sat out in the hallway right where Ash had left her. Where she resisted moving from, feeling much safer out here than inside the horrors within any of the rooms as the rest of the house continued the hunt for the remains of the man that would not die. She had managed about half of the tea Steve had brought before it went cold, had trouble at first even holding the cup with how badly her hands trembled in aftershocks of the gruesome event. They were all so kind, despite how weak she was, so kind to not say so. She wondered if Yvette felt this weak and powerless too, before she died.
"You said..." Dolores didn't need to look up to know whose footsteps were approaching, "That I could tell you about my nightmares."
