When he woke up, Connor did not open his eyes immediately. Coding flashed behind them, typical reboot programs and some minor defragmentation. Nothing unusual, nothing he hadn't experienced before, but Connor realized somewhere in the letters flashing in front of him that things were different. This was not like any other time he'd woken up--he wasn't home.
No he was in a strange house with stranger people, and he couldn't remember why he had been asleep at all for a moment. It came back to him in a rush of overflowing memory data, and Connor's eyes snapped open as he sat up in a very mechanical way, staring around at the room with panic. He had been laying on some kind of table? How had he gotten there? Reed was nowhere to be seen, but Connor wasn't alone, he sensed that much.

Wait. He was missing something. There had been conversations that were only on the edge of his mind now, words he could not recall. Ronan wasn't just neutral. Connor felt like he had trusted him, he just couldn't remember why.
He did a quick self-scan.

[Recommended Action: Immediate shut down and reboot.]
He might shut himself down for repairs in a moment, but for now he had to know, "Did it work?" If it hadn't, and the furnace still didn't work, most of the people in this house would die within a matter of days.
