"Yes," Rey replied, rubbing her hands together while she waited, before adding, "It's a desert planet."
Looking down at the glove when it was offered, an expression of warmth spread across Rey's face and she nodded as she took it.
"Thanks," she said, pulling it onto her right hand. It didn't make a difference straight away but she knew it would after a few minutes.
Certainly, when she started up the next flight of stairs, she was able to grip the bannister more tightly, which she was glad of when one foot slipped out from under her. Holding on, she righted herself and carried on upwards until she reached the landing which joined the third floor corridor.
The corridor was gloomy in the evening light. Water had seeped out from underneath the door of the room with the leak and spread down the hallway, freezing into sheets of black ice. Rey's breath misted in front of her as she stood there, trying to pick out the easiest path to the door.
"It's that one," Rey said, pointing to a door a few along from the entrance to the room where she slept with Leia.
Glancing at Diana, she held out her hand - the ungloved one - in an unspoken offer.
