Rey gave a shivery shrug. She wasn't used to strangers showing much concern for her; at least, she hadn't been until she'd met Finn and BB-8 and joined the Resistance. It still made her feel a little uncomfortable. She was never sure how to react.
"Jakku never got this cold," Rey explained. Although temperatures had sometimes dropped below freezing at night, they had always soared again as soon as the sun climbed over the sand dunes. "But I'll be fine. It'll help if we can get the leak fixed."
Rey nodded, her gaze flicking from the icy steps to the bannister rail. Shifting the blankets around her shoulders, she tied them around her neck like a cloak and started up the stairs, her cold fingers wrapping around the rail to steady herself. Once again, she found herself cursing the stupid heeled shoes, the only footwear in that blasted suitcase she'd found, for their lack of grip and practicality. Still, through sheer force of will, she managed to stay upright as she ascended to the top of the first flight.
