"Come on, this way!" Stiles goaded. He'd made fast friends with Jubilee, and when Stiles considered someone a friend he could be a bit overzealous. Especially given the reality that none of his friends from Beacon Hills were here. He was alone, and Stiles was not built to be alone.
He needed a cluster of friends around him, as much to protect and look after him as to have someone to protect and look after himself. That was just how he operated. He believed a group was only as strong as its weakest member, and he never wanted to be the weakest link. He had his skills, even if he lacked the strength of a werewolf or banshee or hell hound. He had said once he was 147 pounds of pale skin and fragile bones and sarcasm was his only defense, but that was't entirely true.
He had his wit and his charm and his undying loyalty. His resolve to see things through. A dangerous level of dedication and tenacity. He might be only human, but there was a reason a thousands year old nogitsune spirit chose him. He was a force to be reckoned with. And when he bid someone to follow him into a forest, few would have the inner strength to refuse him.
