Or that not enough deaths or action equaled an uptick in the dangers that the Capitol released? It had taken her days to figure out how to get Haymitch to send in anything to help her out.
The smile she offered up wasn't much of one, just a slight curving at the end of her mouth before settling back into a more neutral expression. She lifted the cat up, placing it back inside of the makeshift satchel. "You have a good thing going here right now, Gale. Someone willing to watch your back and who you're willing to watch too. You need to keep that."
She stopped in front of him and touched his shoulder for a moment. "And there isn't a door to the outside so its not like any of us can leave anyway. I'll be around." But she wasn't willing to do anything to put him at risk and as far as Katniss was concerned being around her was a constant risk.
