Until they could figure out who their host really was and beat him over the head with one of his own possessions, the best way Sara could see to escape was to actually play his damn game. Not that she knew exactly where to start with that, and it didn't seem like anyone was in the mood to really start collaboring, so that left her to just...start. Which eventually lead her to the dining room. She wasn't sure what she was hoping to find. Maybe alcohol, that would be nice. But a basic inventory of supplies was probably needed, right? Maybe she'd get really lucky and find an escape hatch somewhere, or a gun. Being able to shoot the right person, when that person was identified, seemed like a great option to have. Sara's search was going nowhere when she reached for the cabinet and began to sort her way through that. Nothing overly exciting. Classes, plates, something that might be a butter dish. It takes a few moments, but eventually, she notices a compartment within the cabinet that has it's own door, separating its contents from everything else. Not really being one for cabinets that wouldn't be found in a kitchen, or fancy dishes, Sara pulls open the door with no guess at what she'd expect to find. A dangerous shower of steel reigns down around her and Sara only has quick reflexes to thank for getting out of the way fast enough to only have a small knick on her arm. Multiple cuts like that would be far too annoying, and for all she knew this place was infected with something that would be easier to catch through a wound. Half a dozen knives clatter to the floor at her feet. Curious, Sara picks up one of the knives and then raises her eyes to look a the compartment they had just fallen from. Somehow those knives had come reigning down around her, almost if they had been launched. It was great that she now had six sharp objects. It was concerning that someone was potentially setting traps. The first step, collect all the knives. The second step, figure out if that cabinet was rigged, or if she just had garbage luck. |
