Murphy's hard to read, hard to tell what his true intentions are. With him, there's always give and take and sometimes it's just take. Who can really blame him, though?
Raven can, but she's a special case. He's the one who shot her. He's the one who disabled her. He's the one who made her crippled. She can blame him for how he is until she's blue in the face.
Things are different now, they have been ever since Becca's lab. She forgave him and a tremendous weight finally lifted off her shoulders. Raven was more at peace, at peace with dying. All she had wanted to do was feel Zero-G, just to float in space until the air ran out.
But Raven also wanted to live.
I don't choose pain. I choose life.
"Being alone sucks," Raven agreed. They always had each other when they least expected it. When they didn't want to be alone, the other showed up. Raven smiles, small and pained. "I don't want to be alone either."
