Murphy sighed. He ran a hand through his hair, and hoped Raven didn't see the cloud of emotions roll across his features. He drew a breath and forced an even expression, like he wasn't at all phased by what she said about accidentally killing herself.
He didn't want to think about her doing that. He was the one who was borderline suicidal, not Raven. Raven was the fighter. If not the warrior, the emotional fighter. She never gave up. She never gave in. So why was she talking about accidentally killing herself in a Jacuzzi?
"I'm here because..." he let his voice trail off, then came back around to look at her. "Because maybe I don't want to be alone."
