Cardlo Ren
I would call it a lecture. Not because it's in-depth, but because it lacks integrity. I don't think you give a damn about the failures of the Republic or the leadership of the Resistance. Just admit this is about personal vengeance. I'd have more respect for you.
After decades of First Order propaganda -- Did you know that they play the stormtroopers messages all night in their bunks while they sleep to help build artificial loyalty to the cause? -- I've come to recognise that none of you care about the Republic's failings -- Or the Empire's. None of you are interested in making the galaxy better, you're only out for yourselves. For power, prestige, or revenge.
Brendol Hux was murdered by Armitage and Phasma. He grew up in the wreckaged of the Outer Rim and he genuinely wanted a better galaxy. His son killed him because he hated him, so he poisioned him with the sting of a beetle that made his father's blood blister and his muscle tissue melt. He rotted his father's organs while Brendol was still alive enough to feel the pain -- and I know this pain, because Phasma tried the very same poison on me.
The Resistance is imperfect, but there are no gods and no supreme leaders. Not anymore. Not since the General stepped down and the destruction of the Candor.
