"You really want to trust this to a guy", Carol raised an eyebrow and smirked. Then she shook her head. "But seriously, I think he needed a break. It's been a crazy day. And I figured I wouldn't mind being alone for a little while, but I'm getting nowhere with this."
She watched as Val gave up arguing and just grabbed for the plans. See? Carol knew the woman was good for something. She let her start to take over, watching with a half-amused expression. "I think the problem is neither of us are drinking screwdrivers, you mean."
"Here." Carol finally took a seat again and grabbed a piece, using the little tool to finish attaching the leg to what she hoped was a bed frame. "You go lift the other side and I'll get the leg."
She figured directing this way was probably going to work best. Half the problem had been trying to balance the pieces on her own in the first place.
