"Don't bother," Charlie replied. Of all the places he'd been shipped off to, Utah had probably been his least favourite, or perhaps it was just the place he'd been forced to stay the longest. He had a hunch that one was directly related to the other.
Luke's assessment of LA wasn't a million miles off. At least, Charlie knew that's what it must look like to outsiders. He, on the other hand, had seen the dark side of the city. He decided not to burst Luke's bubble and replied with a slight raise of his shoulders.
Peering across the table, Charlie looked at Luke's doll. It wasn't too bad. His was maybe a little neater but not by much. Still, the idea of getting some sort of system going wasn't the worst.
"It might help us get through them quicker," Charlie commented, although it occurred to him that they were stuck there until someone told them to leave, regardless of how many they finished. Still, it might break up the monotony a bit. "You know, like, do it in stages. You do all the base coats, I do the block colors, you do the lines, I fill in the details? It would give the paint chance to dry, at least."
