He smiled, softly, the expression brief but not so brief that it couldn't be noticed. Even though for all intents and purposes they were the same age, Atreus sometimes felt greatly aged compared to his sister. Aged and bitter toward the world. But then Letha would do or say something that would chase away the bitterness for awhile.
"You'll figure out what you like, or can tolerate. There is much that we have back home, that they don't have here." he remarked, sparing a glance around. "Many pale imitations. It simply takes time. I didn't know everything on my first visit. Just most everything." The last was added with a grin and a wink as he lifted his glass for a small sip.
Instead of setting his glass down, he held it out to her. "Here, try it." As she spoke of the sort of place she would need Atreus nodded slightly, but then tilted his head when the questions came. His brow furrowed for a moment and then he leaned slightly across the table. "Careful with such mentions, sister. You never know when someone with very good hearing might be around." With his other hand he made a brief clawing motion at the table top, meant to allude to werecreatures. He knew some others could have decent hearing as well, but he considered the weres to be better at eavesdropping than anyone else. Sitting back a little, he then considered what Letha was asking. "I don't generally say anything. If they're good, they can hang back and blend in enough not to be noticeable unless someone's looking for them. But the truth?" Atreus shook his head, looking around the bar and then back across at his sister, voice lowering. "These people don't even deserve to know such things. Let them guess, or wonder. It's amazing the numbers they have considering what has walked among them all these long years."
