[The moment he awakens in a strange place, he assumes he's been sent there by SEELE. Thus, there is no panic, not even a moment of fear. Just wide-eyed, slightly sardonic interest.

Why the secrecy? And why a lavish hotel, of all places? He can't imagine what they're thinking, but he feels the key in the pocket of his school uniform (a white, short-sleeved button down with an orange t-shirt peeping out from under the slightly opened collar and black pants), so he gets an idea of what he's meant to do. Find the room, open the door, solve the mystery. How kind of them to give him some entertainment after the monotony of Shinji's depression.

So, naturally, he approaches the door of his room - 708 - and opens the door. Once he's inside, he settles down on the satin bedsheets that adorn the heart-shaped bed and waits. All will become clear soon enough, he feels. It's just a matter of waiting. And Tabris has been waiting a very long time to be activated - a little more won't hurt.

If the person who comes in happens to have met up with boy!Rei Ayanami, they'll be in for something of a shock.]

((Mangaverse Kaworu coming out to play! Don't expect the sweetheart of the anime, or you'll be in for a dark surprise. Also, I'm not available for tagging until tomorrow, but feel free to throw up a placeholder and I'll get back to you just as soon as I can!))

[Kid isn't nervous, but as Kaworu gets closer his heart speeds up a little and it irritates him. He doesn't know this feeling and he doesn't know why he likes it even a little bit. He certainly doesn't like the one causing the feeling.

He doesn't look at Kaowru as he talks. He barely gives any indication that he even notices the closeness.]

My friends are human. I don't appreciate you speaking of them in that manner.

[Kid won't let himself be provoked by an arm around his shoulders, somehow even fighting off the feelings this place seems to cause. Still not looking at Kaworu, his voice level as he speaks.]

I only take the lives of those who try and disrupt the natural balance of the world. Whether or not they're human doesn't mean anything if they have no regard for the balance the world requires.

[Kaworu ponders Kid's face at this close range. His eyes aren't just yellow - they've got a second inner iris that's almost orange. How odd. And the stripes in his hair... Kaworu reaches out and brushes back the striped section of his bangs, watching in amusement as the hair falls right back over his forehead. He doesn't seem at all affected by Kid's denial - he's far too taken with his looks.]

[Oh god. Why does the attention have to be moved on to his hair of all things? And for Kaworu to be focused on that part of it... Kid can't help but feel completely disgusted with his looks and it's hard to keep all of the disgust from showing in his face.

More than that, though, Kid hates the fact that it feels almost nice to have Kaworu's hands in his hair. He grabs the hand from his hair but he doesn't let go. Like before he'll just settle for a cold, unwavering glare.]

[Kaworu blinks as Kid grabs hold of his hand, wondering about that disgusted look on his face - is it directed at himself, or at Kaworu? - but his smile is back when Kid doesn't let go of his hand. He leans even closer, until Kid will likely feel the breath on his face.]

You're interesting. You're so much like the Lilim, so concerned with things outside yourself. Is this what comes with living so close to them? Is that why the First rejected me? Was she changed by them, too?

Maybe it is. But is there something wrong with being like them? If anything it's only made me stronger.

[Kid's breath speeds up and he can't bring himself to move away. There's a mix of thoughts running through his head, and somewhere between some misplaced need to show he isn't afraid and a strange liking of the position, he ends up even closer. Not so close that there's any contact, but close enough that any passerby would think the opposite.]

[He can't put a finger on what or why, but something about the tension vibrating through Kid's body is driving Kaworu insane. He wants to keep talking, but another part of him wants to shut up and taste this strange little Shinigami, and that part proves to be stronger. It's a light kiss, featherlight, almost as though testing him, but Kaworu can't help but let it linger a little longer than it probably should. Will he be attacked? Pushed away? Pulled closer? He has no idea, and it's thrilling.]

	[Kid definately wants to go with the last two options, but he can't bring himself and instead he finds himself actually kissing back. He deepens it only slightly, still new at this and not entirely sure what to do. [It's a pleasant surprise to have Kid acquiesce instead of retaliating, although Kaworu doesn't know the reasons why, not having any knowledge of the effects of this place. Since Kid is so coy, Kaworu decides to take the upper hand, licking his way into Kid's mouth and tangling one hand tightly in his black hair.

If only he knew about Kid's relationship with Rei. Oh, how that would make him laugh.]

[Kid isn't sure what comes over him in the next instance, but he finds himself meeting Kaworu's tongue halfway with his own. He pushes a little harder against the other boy as the hand tangles in his hair. It feels good to have someones hand in his hair like that.

But it doesn't take long for Kid to realize what he's doing and he moves his arm so that he's gripping Kaworu's side tightly, probably tight enough that it causes pain. He pushes Kaworu away, but he keeps his hold on him. They're still close enough that their breath mixes together and it would be easy enough to start the whole thing over again.]

Was there some purpose to that?

[His breathing his heavy and it's hard for Kid to get the words out. The effect of the kiss is obvious and he barely manages to sound as angry as he'd like to when he keeps replaying what just happened in his head.]

	[He ignores the first question. He's having a had enough time convincing himself that he didn't want it, he doesn't want to bother with trying to convince someone else. 	Why do you want to know? [Kid glances down at his hand, not having realized it was still there until something was said. He removes it from the other boy's side, but he doesn't back away. Oh, I want to know a lot of things. There's so much I don't understand. I want to know all of it. I was only awakened a couple of weeks ago, you know.

[It's the most honest thing he's said to Kid, although he hasn't exactly been lying - more like playing linguistic games with him.

He takes Kid not moving away as encouragement to lean closer again. He does have his issues with personal space, and he's got some sensations of his own working on his body. Can he get away with another kiss? How long would it last this time? He licks his lips pensively.]

Awakened?

[Kid doesn't wait and listen for an answer. Instead, he finds himself mimicking that action. He doesn't want to want another kiss, but something about this guy-- no this place-- just made it all too hard to resist temptation. Not to mention there is some part of Kid that is curious as to what might happen if they continue.

So he'll lean in even more, and maybe Kaworu can feel Kid's lips just barely brush against his own or maybe he'll have to get closer.]

[He opens his mouth to explain about being kept in an LCL chamber since his birth, but then Kid is moving closer and he thinks he feels the ghost of a kiss against his lips. That's unexpected. Smiling wickedly, he tips his head to capture Kid's lips more firmly and wonders again about his one kiss. Was it a stolen one, like Kaworu's? Was it consensual? Was it a boy or a girl? So many questions he wants to ask, but for now he's too wrapped up in the kiss to break away and speak again.]

He doesn't realize what he's doing when he pulls Kaworu closer, but there's no space between them any more and he vaguely wonders if he shouldn't have done that. [Kaworu murmurs softly into Kid's mouth when he feels that hard grip on his side - he likes the slight sting, and really likes the desperation Kid is suddenly showing. Slowly, he backs him up into the nearest wall, pressing their bodies together and rocking gently against him. When that movement makes stars burst out behind his eyelids, he does it again, a little rougher this time.]
