Aaron attempted to hold onto his general air of disapproval, but found it impossible when she grinned up at him. Most people thought of Stella as someone to watch out for, but after the umpteenth time she'd ended up surprising him in his dorm, he'd just started to think of her as a particularly feisty kitten. She had claws, but she used them more when she was bored than out of a genuine wish to harm. Or, at least that is what he told himself. "I missed you too," he nudged her back with his foot after she kicked his leg and turned to look at the paper spread out across the table. "Although not enough to do your homework for you."
"I was almost done with mine when I got your letter, and decided to leave it up there. It's not I'd get anything done if I brought it with me," he shrugged, lacing his fingers behind his neck and leaning backwards in his chair, concentrating as so not to overbalance. "I actually just started talking to mine today. I sent the first letter earlier, and they are a speedy replier," he explained, setting the chair back on all four legs before Stella could get any ideas about tipping him over.
"I think she's a girl, she has girly handwriting, at least."
