She really was too much. "Did you ever think that you might be keeping away a future best friend; not just an annoying person?" He asked, batting away her hand easily. "Just think if we'd met later on, you would have pushed me away," he said, raising his eyebrows pointedly. "After all, I'm a-" he lowered his voice and leaned in towards her, glancing around the room to make sure they were alone. "A Hufflepuff."
"That's the spirit!" He said happily, clapping his hands together once. "Secrets make the world go round. The less people know of you, the better." They might have different reasons for liking anonymity, but that didn't stop him from enjoying the fact that she understood, but after a second glance at her, his face fell. "You aren't going to tell them a single true thing, are you?"
Aaron flushed at her comment, and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "I'm not going to come on to my penpal, Stella," he muttered, looking down at his hands in an effort to avoid her eyes. One of these days he was going to be able to get through a conversation with her that included innuendos without turning into a tomato, but today wasn't that day. "Not to mention the fact I don't ever want to have to deal with being compared to a horse. It will only ever end poorly for me," he added, straightening his lips into a thin line. She was enjoying watching him squirm entirely too much.
He pointedly ignored her chicken babble. Encouraging her was the last thing he wanted to do at this point. "You are going to end up having your head of house sic'd on you. Just because your penpal doesn't know who you are doesn't mean no one does."
