WHO: Junta, Ailani and Jackie WHAT: New Year's Eve fun! WHERE: Ailani's place first, then a rooftop, then Times Square for the ball dropping! WHEN: Evening of New Year's Eve RATING: PG-13 to start STATUS: Incomplete and closed
It was New Year's Eve and that only meant one thing. Partying! And everyone knew that wherever parties were, Junta was. Especially New Year's parties. There was only one person who he could possible be with on the night of all nights to party, and that was Ailani. They were going to be hanging out all night long and then going to see the ball drop in Times Square. Because really, what other way was there to spend New Year's? Exactly. Junta had been sleeping most of the day (and consequently skipping work as well...but shhh! His boss didn't need to know!) to make sure he had as much energy as possible for the night of fun to come. And of course, at the last minute, he'd gone out to stock up on what he was the master of...hair dye. Of the temporary variety, though. It was for the girl that they were bringing along. Jackie. Apparently she was far too uptight and needed to have some fun. And what was more fun than funky colored hair? Nothing! And he would know.
Once he'd gotten back to his apartment with a backpack full of hair dye (and some fake colored clip-ins, in case she chickened out) and some extra booze, he got dressed in that ever so out there fashion of his. Lots of bright colors to match the ones in his hair. Firework colors, naturally. And of course his look wasn't complete without the lip rings and fancy looking ear gauge that Ailani had gotten him for Christmas. Everything together...namely the weird colored hair, the various tattoos and multitude of piercings, made him look absolutely crazy. Which was exactly what he was going for.
Soon enough he was out and on his way to Ailani's place, which was where they were all meeting. The trip from Brooklyn to Harlem was extremely familiar and commonplace by now. Wasn't too long before everyone's favorite Asian was standing outside of his best friend's door, banging on it with his fist in an unceremonius way. "Open up, man! Life of the party's here!"
