She smiled a bit when he came in, watching as he tossed a bag of Hershey kisses to her from across the room. Her eyes followed its path over to her and, right at the last second, she reached out and caught it in one of those fast movements characteristic of her mutation. Her brother and chocolate...that really did warrant a smile.
"Probably. It would have been gone in less than a minute otherwise." She chuckled a little bit. "Besides, junk food does tend to taste better when you have your own stash."
She recognized this, having had her fair share of conversations with him when he avoided talking about the actual subject. He really was good at talking around whatever the real problem was. When he asked if she was okay, that smile faded some.
"Not really. I just feel bad...you know, about the attack."
