honestly, i feel the same way and ruthless negan may be, but he certainly has a system in place that provides a new, working framework for society suitable for the world they now live in. not even alexandria can really say that, proven by the multiple infiltrations they've suffered. i think even bruce can see where rick might be the bad guy and if bruce had been around for negan's retribution, he would have understood its purpose even if he didn't agree with its barbarism. it certainly sent a message however and that's the whole point. though they may disagree with glenn, he'd also understand that if it had been daryl he'd killed, he would have just made a martyr out of him. instead, he made him an example. lol you def don't have to apologize for being ranty! i am 100% here for it and any and all headcanons/character case studies! :3
ooh yes! maybe bruce or alfred are recognized as one of negan's men who had been there the night glenn and abe were killed and it turns into open fire much to bruce's annoyance bc honestly, didn't these guys learn their lesson? but things get complicated when they wind up drawing the attention of a hoard or getting trapped in rubble that requires some co-op. or maybe rick and alfred get stuck and it's the boys that need to work together to come to their aid. all the things~!
