It really is a matter of perspective in my opinion. I don't think everyone realizes what Negan stands for and that he is actually trying to keep his people alive and not have them turning on each other. He has these rules with gruesome consequences because he knows if they start tearing at each other from the inside out, they'll never survive against outside threats. To him, Rick and his people slaughtered 20 some of his men, without warning. They're the bad guys. They are a treat, and he's dealing with it the only way he knows how. Making them bend a knee or lose a head. So for those who lost friends and family members on the Saviors side, what they do to only ONE of their people, is letting them off easy. (I say one cause Glenn's death is still on Daryl in Negan's mind.) So yeah, it isn't as hard to imagine them fighting with him when they're only seeing one side of things. Sorry..I think I got a little ranty there, but the more I learn about Negan's past, and see his humanity on the show, the more protective I get of him. I just can't see him as the monster people want him to be.
YES!! I love this idea! Maybe a chance run in turns into a shooting/fighting battle while both Carl and (whoever) are out scavenging, and they come across Bruce and Alfred doing the same thing. Cause I mean, they both work for Negan in one way or another. They fight cause that's what's expected but then we have our boys end up trapped somewhere for a min while Alfred and (probably rick) work to get the two boys out or something. It could be some kind of weird truce and then they just part ways, realizing that the other isn't as bad as they thought, but still realizing they are on opposite sides.
