"Hey, sharing food is a big deal," Alicia's tone was teasing, even if the sentiment was more true these days than ever before. Food, and safety for that matter, was a precious thing and rare in the world these days. "She's got good instincts." That was a thing, she was sure of it. Animals were often smarter than people when it came to knowing who to trust and who to fear. "Salem the sarcastic cat was your role model, why am I not surprised. You seem a bit less of a megalomaniac though. Just a little bit." Or a lot. Harley didn't seem the type to want to take over the world.
The fact he was opening up to her meant a lot, and she smiled at him, watching the way he was moving around the room. "Can't blame her for that, you must have a comfortable face." The image of a young Harley with a cat taking up most of the bed was a great one and Alicia laughed a little bit. "I'm trying to imagine you as a secen year old. I bet you were adorable." Since he had shared, she decided to go against her usual habit and offer up some information in return. "When I was a kid, my other neighbor would babysit me and take me over the road to play with the dog. He was almost as big as I was but he never bit me, not once. He was so sappy you could stick your hand right in his mouth and he wouldn't bite down." And she had, as an experiment, freaking her mother out many times.
"I would swoon, but I would disturb her." Alicia laughed again. Harley was actually much more charming than he seemed to think. Another world, another life, Alicia would have had such a crush on him. But she was one of Negan's wives and she did care about her husband. They had all become some sort of strange family. She shifted the kitten slightly so Harley could work on fitting the collar. "Tet-tet, I like it, what do you think sweetheart?" She directed the question at the animal, whose ears twitched in response. "I think that's a yes."
